Dryer Vent Cleaning And Repair
Does it take too long for your clothes to dry?
Lint and other debris can build up inside of your dryer vent causing backpressure on the dryer, and longer drying times. This can create potentially hazardous conditions, including the possibility of carbon monoxide intrusion into the home, and exhaust fires. Bird intrusion, long vent runs, poorly installed vents, and too many turns all contribute to excessive drying times. Periodically, dryer vents need to be cleaned to maintain efficiency and safety. According to the U.S Product Safety Commission, in 2003 neglecting regular clothes dryer maintenance resulted in over $107.3 million dollars in residential fire property loss. Our Service At the beginning of each dryer vent cleaning we take an airflow reading to measure the amount of air being moved through the vent. From there, we hook up our RoVac vacuum; this vacuum uses three motors to create massive static lift necessary to remove all of the lint and debris. With the vacuum running, we snake a spinning brush through the system, effectively dislodging the debris. Once the vent is cleaned, the dryer is hooked back up and an after reading is taken to measure the amount of improvement. It is not uncommon to find disconnected sections of dryer vent. If this is suspected, we can video scan the vent to locate the exact location. If repairs are needed, we offer no pressure, free estimates. |
With a clean dryer vent, your clothes will dry faster, your dryer will last longer, and you save time and money with a properly working system.
